Sixth class take part in service of life and commitment as they prepare for their Confirmation.

We welcomed the new school year by preparing for our service of light and commitment. The ceremony took place on Sunday the 13th of January as part of our family mass. We worked hard all week, learning our prayers, digging deep into what the sacrament of confirmation really means and of course creating some beautiful art work to represent the Holy Spirit welcoming light into our lives. On the day, both the Confirmandi and their parents promised, in front of the congregation and God that they would do their best to welcome the Holy Spirit into our lives and spread the word of God, just like Jesus and his apostles did. It was a really special day and everyone had a part to play, between reading our Prayers of the Faithful, bringing up the gifts, presenting our art work and

making our promises.
