Last week was Maths Week and in 4th Class, we got active in exploring Maths in the classroom and around the school. We explored 2D shapes with tangrams as well as lines, angles and patterns with lollipop sticks and peg boards.
Finally, on Friday, we did a Maths Trail, in the classroom in the school yard. We were busy estimating and measuring times, lengths, capacity and steps. Pupils worked in small groups, with collaborative learning to the forefront of all lessons.
Pupils got a great chance to appreciate real life Maths and see how important Maths is in everyday life.
