Welcome back to everyone after the Christmas holidays. The boys are girls had great stories to share about their wonderful Christmas celebrations. In school, the children from 1st class were busy learning about length in maths. The explored the school grounds and used hand spans, books and metre sticks to measure different things like the doors, the playground and their class tables and library. In Geography, we were learning about map work and about giving clear directions. WE decided to make lovely 'old' style treasure maps and we stained them with teabags. It was great fun!
